Legal
Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of Grantgator, operated by Academic and Grant Writing Enclave.
Effective date: 25 July 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Grantgator, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your credentials, and activity under your account. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
3. The service
Grantgator helps users discover and track funding opportunities, prepare grant materials, and synchronize deadlines. Availability, eligibility, deadlines, and funder requirements can change. You must independently verify all opportunity information before acting on it.
4. No guarantee or professional advice
Grantgator does not guarantee funding, eligibility, acceptance, accuracy, or uninterrupted service. Content and AI-assisted output are informational tools and are not legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing submissions and decisions made using the service.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. You confirm that you have the rights needed to provide the content and that it does not violate law or another person’s rights.
6. Google services
Google sign-in and Google Calendar are optional integrations governed by Google’s terms and privacy policies. You may disconnect Calendar through Grantgator or revoke access in your Google Account. We are not responsible for Google service availability or changes.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use Grantgator unlawfully, fraudulently, or to infringe another person’s rights.
- Interfere with security, bypass access controls, probe vulnerabilities, or disrupt the service.
- Upload malicious code or use automated methods that impose an unreasonable load.
- Misrepresent generated material or submit content you are not entitled to use.
- Resell or exploit the service except under a written agreement with us.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Grantgator at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, non-payment, material breach, or protection of users and the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain effective after termination.
9. Intellectual property
Grantgator’s software, branding, interface, and service content—excluding your content and third-party materials—belong to Academic and Grant Writing Enclave or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or missed funding opportunities.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve disputes informally before pursuing available legal remedies.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Questions may be sent to academicgrantwritingenclave@gmail.com.
